Hi Everyone! In the upcoming two weeks, I'll be selling art from my home and studio as Brian and I pack up and move northeast before moving northwest. I've put together some images below. There are originals, prints, and some curious things that Brian and I have collected along the way. Text or email me if you're interested and/or have any questions.  hlayton@ur.rochester.edu, (585) 755-6819.

ALL SOLD -- Ex-Voto Paintings from the exhibition When the Gods Prayed Back, $100 each. Various sizes 6x9-10x12". Acrylic or oil on steel. There are two sets: The ones in Spanish have been painted by artisans in Mexico. I began to collect them from fair trade vendors and Mexican artisans after seeing Frida Kahlo's house (and, in particular, the staircase which is filled with ex-votos) in Mexico City. The ones in English are contemporary ones that I made for the exhibition When the Gods Prayed Back. In these, the saints are sending requests and giving advice to the people about contemporary issues.
